ZaWARD is looking for a suitable candidate to fill in the position of an Intern. Below are the details of the position.

 

POSITION: Intern

DURATION: 6 months

DUTY STATION: Lusaka

REPORT TO: National Coordinator

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Overall the intern shall support the national coordinator in the day to day operations of ZAWARD.

 

KEY RESPONSIBITIES

​

  • Effectively run and maintain all social media pages.

  • Create awareness and disseminate information on ZaWARD activities to its members and the general public.

  • Work on the publication of the ZaWARD newsletter and blog posts.

  • Contribute to proposals for funding to support the continued functioning of ZaWARD.

  • Other duties that may be assigned.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

​

  • Should have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with credit or better in agriculture, biological sciences, environment and natural resources, or related fields; OR a Bachelor of Art (BA) degree with credit or better in development studies, economics, demography, gender studies, Library and Information studies or related fields from a recognized university.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of running social media campaigns, and basic graphics design.

 

 

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

​

  • The internship is strictly on voluntary basis.

  • Female candidates are especially encouraged to apply. No work experience required.
